Through its direct sales channels in Europe, ECT has achieved outstanding growth and high profitability. A new worldwide distribution and licensing agreement with ERICSSON is part of a strategy to augment these direct sales activities via indirect sales channels in geographical regions outside Europe. ERICSSON is a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally with over 1.000 installed networks in 140 countries and routing of 40 percent of all mobile calls.

Under the terms of this agreement, ERICSSON is incorporating ECT’s technology for platform sales as well as ring back tone services and managed services.

All of these service applications are programmed in our open extensible markup language ECTXML^® and run on the INtellECT^® Service Delivery Platform which simultaneously supports calls to and from the legacy TDM networks, SIP softswitches and IMS networks.

Our customers, the network service providers, have several options when implementing value-added services with our technology. We offer complete, turn-key solutions for the aforementioned services; our customers can also opt to receive the underlying ECTXML^® source code, allowing them to enhance the services themselves or via a third-party developer. Furthermore, network providers can also program their own services in ECTXML^®. As the INtellECT^® Service Delivery Platform is easily augmented with Gateways for ISUP, INAP, SIP and IMS interconnectivity, the value-added services are truly convergent.
